Dr. Kyle T. Lewis, M.D.

Dr. Kyle T. Lewis, M.D. is a board-certified ophthalmologist with advanced fellowship training in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery, specializing in disorders of the eyelids, orbit, and periocular facial structures. He is a member of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (ASOPRS), and one of only a few oculoplastic surgeons in the state.

His practice includes functional and cosmetic eyelid surgery, correction of eyelid malpositions, management and reconstruction of periocular skin cancers, and aesthetic enhancement of the upper and lower eyelids, brows and face. His surgical approach is grounded in a detailed understanding of ocular and facial anatomy, thoughtful preoperative evaluation, and meticulous technique.

Dr. Lewis also serves as a Professor of Ophthalmology and Oculoplastic Surgery, where he educates future ophthalmologists and contributes to the training of residents and fellows in plastic surgery, ENT, and dermatologic surgery. He performs complex reconstructive procedures as well as advanced sight-saving surgeries.

Known for his sincerity and attentive communication, Dr. Lewis prioritizes careful listening and individualized treatment planning. He recognizes that concerns involving the eyes and face are both functional and personal, and he strives to ensure each patient feels informed, supported, and confident throughout their care. His goal is to restore function, enhance appearance when desired, and preserve each patient’s natural character.

Dr. Lewis’s wife is an ENT physician at UMMC, and they occasionally collaborate on cases when it benefits patient care. Together, they are raising their four children in the Jackson area and are proud to be part of the community they serve.
